Live scoring gets its own app

The Scored Team

The Scored Team

Live scoring now has a dedicated app. Score from a phone on the sideline, a tablet at the bench, or the desktop app on the venue computer, and everything downstream keeps up on its own.

Scoring a match

Score from whatever's handy

It's the same match and the same rules on every device, so tonight's scorer can use whichever screen suits. A second court opens up, a team scores their own game, someone steps in at short notice: all covered by the phone already in their pocket.

Happy to go offline

The app keeps the match on the device and syncs when it can. If the connection drops mid-game, scoring carries on. When the network's back, the game uploads and the fixture, result and player stats catch up on their own.

Built for one thumb

The scoring screen is designed around the thing that happens a few hundred times a night: recording the next ball or the next point, fast. Big targets for the common actions, everything else a tap away, and a score you can read at arm's length across a bright court.

Half-finished games get their own spot on the home screen, so resuming is one tap. When a game wraps up, the waiting screen offers the court's next fixture, ready to go.

Between matches

Everything else updates itself

Score through the app and the fixture page, the ladder, the player stats and the public scoreboard all move as the match moves. One person does one job and five screens keep up.

The app runs on iOS and Android, and the desktop app is still there for venues that score from a fixed bench. Both come with your plan. More on the live scoring page.
