The Scoring Screen and Scoreboard Display

Understanding Court Mode and Screen Mode in the Scored Scoring App.

Two Modes

The Scoring App has two distinct display modes:

  • Court Mode — the active scoring interface used by the scorer sitting courtside.
  • Screen Mode — a large-display scoreboard designed to be shown on a TV or projector for players and spectators.

Court Mode

Court Mode is the primary interface for the scorer. It displays:

  • The current score for both teams.
  • A period, quarter, or set indicator.
  • A match timer.
  • Sport-specific control buttons for adding points, goals, wickets, extras, fouls, and other scoring actions.

Access Court Mode by clicking Start Scoring on the dashboard.

Screen Mode

Screen Mode is a large-format scoreboard optimised for distant viewing. It displays:

  • Large team names and score numbers.
  • Sport name and period indicator.
  • Live updates as the scorer enters data in Court Mode.

On any display device (TV or secondary monitor), open the Scoring App and select Screen Mode to show the scoreboard display.

Switching Modes

From the dashboard, click Start Scoring to open Court Mode on the scorer's device. On the display device (TV or monitor), open the Scoring App and select Screen Mode. Both modes update in real time.

Running Both Simultaneously

You can run Court Mode and Screen Mode at the same time. Use the scorer's device in Court Mode to enter scores, and connect a second device or the same device's second window in Screen Mode so players and spectators can follow the live score on a TV or projector.
