Scoring App Troubleshooting
Quick fixes for common issues with the Scored Scoring App.
App Not Showing Today's Fixtures
Cause: The scoring app may have lost its connection to Scored. If the app is disconnected, fixtures will not appear or will be out of date.
Fix:
- Check the connection status indicator in the app header — it should be green (connected).
- Ensure the device has network access and can reach scored.app.
- Click the Refresh button on the Upcoming Fixtures panel to manually pull the latest fixture list.
Scores Not Appearing on the Dashboard
Cause: The connection between the Scoring App and Scored may have dropped, preventing scores from syncing.
Fix:
- Check the connection status indicator in the app header — it should be green.
- Restart the Scoring App if the connection has not re-established automatically.
- Ensure the device has network access and can reach scored.app.
Can't Start a Match (No Fixture Listed)
Fix:
- Use the Quick Game panel to create and start an ad-hoc game immediately without needing a scheduled fixture.
- Ensure fixtures are scheduled for the correct date and court in the Scored dashboard, then click Refresh in the app.
Wrong Score Entered
Fix: Tap the Undo button in the scoring screen to reverse the last entry. Undo is available for all sport scoring actions including points, goals, wickets, and extras.
App Crashes During a Match
Fix:
- Reopen the Scoring App — the last saved state is restored automatically.
- Verify the score total carefully after resuming to ensure no entries were lost.
- If state is lost, locate the fixture in the Scored dashboard and update the scores manually from there.
Screen Mode Not Updating
Fix:
- Ensure both the Court Mode device and the Screen Mode device have network access and are connected to Scored.
- Reload the Screen Mode display to re-establish the live connection.
