Email Marketing Tools

Scored has a built-in email marketing tool to communicate directly with your members — create campaigns, track performance, and grow engagement without leaving the platform.

Accessing Marketing

Navigate to Marketing in the sidebar. The Marketing homepage gives you an at-a-glance view of your email activity: a bar chart of emails sent by month, key stats (total sent, open rate, click rate), and a list of recent campaigns.

Creating a New Email Campaign

  1. Navigate to Marketing in the sidebar and click the Email tab (or click Send Email on the overview page).
  2. Optionally enter a prompt in the AI Email Generator field and click Generate to create a draft automatically.
  3. Enter a Email Subject line.
  4. Choose the Campaign Category — One-Off Campaign or other types.
  5. Click Select Audience to filter recipients — all members, a specific league, team, or custom filter.
  6. Write or edit your email content in the rich-text editor on the right. Use the Templates dropdown for pre-built layouts and the Branding colour pickers to match your venue colours.
  7. Toggle Schedule for Later if you want to send at a specific date and time instead of immediately.
  8. Click Send to N Recipients to deliver, or Save Draft to save for later.

The Email Editor

The built-in rich text editor supports headings, bold, italic, bullet lists, numbered lists, and hyperlinks. You can insert merge fields such as Venue Name and Player Name to personalise each email. Use the Preview button to see how the email will render before sending.

Sending Immediately vs Scheduling

By default, clicking Send to N Recipients delivers the email immediately. To schedule instead, toggle Schedule for Later — a date and time picker will appear. Scheduled campaigns appear in the campaign history with a “Scheduled” status and can be edited or cancelled before they send.

Campaign History

All sent campaigns appear in the Marketing history list with the sent count, open rate, and click rate for each. Click any campaign to view the full report and see which recipients opened or clicked.

Best Practices

  • Personalise subject lines using the player's name or league to increase open rates.
  • Segment your audience using filters so each email is relevant to its recipients.
  • Send at relevant times — for example, a season announcement the week before registrations open, or a fixture reminder the day before a match.
  • Keep subject lines concise (under 50 characters) so they display fully on mobile devices.
