Creating and Managing Leagues

Leagues are the core organisational unit in Scored. Everything — teams, fixtures, payments, and standings — lives inside a league.

Creating a League

Navigate to Leagues in the sidebar and click the Menu button ? Create League. The form is organised into four tabs:

  • League Info — League Name, Description, Colour, Start Date, End Date, Duration (Weeks), and Additional Settings.
  • Sport Details — Select the sport for this league (Cricket, Netball, Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Badminton, Pickleball, and more).
  • Registration Details — Whether registration is open to the public or managed by staff only.
  • Pricing Plan — Configure per-game and season fees for teams or individual players.

Click Create to create the league. You can edit all of these settings later from the league's Settings tab.

Managing a League — Key Tabs

  • Teams Tab: View all teams in the league, add new teams manually, manage team rosters, and see each team's payment status.
  • Fixtures Tab: View all scheduled matches. Use Auto-Schedule to generate a complete round-robin draw, or add fixtures manually. Each fixture can be edited to change the court, time, or teams.
  • Standings Tab: Live standings updated automatically after each scored match. Includes wins, losses, draws, points, and point differential.
  • Results Tab: A history of completed fixtures with final scores.
  • Settings Tab: Edit league details, payment prices, registration settings, and delete the league.

League Payment Settings

Each league has configurable payment options that control how fees are collected through the Daily Log and POS Kiosk:

  • Game Price (per team): A flat fee charged to each team per game — collected at match day via the POS Fixtures tab or Daily Log.
  • Game Price (per player): A per-head fee charged to each player per game.
  • Season Price (per team): A one-time seasonal fee for the whole team.
  • Season Price (per player): A one-time seasonal fee per player.

The payment type is selected when processing a fixture payment via the Fixtures tab in the POS terminal or Daily Log.

League Status

A league moves through three statuses:

  • Draft: The league is being set up. It is not visible to players on the landing page or kiosk.
  • Active: The league is live. Players can register (if open registration is enabled) and fixtures are visible.
  • Completed: The season has ended. The league is archived but all data remains accessible for reporting and historical reference.

Viewing Standings and Results

Open any active or completed league and click the Standings tab to see the current ladder. Standings are calculated automatically from scored fixtures. Click Results to browse all completed match scores. Both views are also visible on your public landing page if the league is set to active.

Deleting a League

To permanently delete a league, go to its Settings tab and click Delete League. This action cannot be undone and will remove all associated fixtures, registrations, and standings data. Individual player records are retained in the system.
